How to play

Type a five-letter word and press Enter (or tap ENTER on the on-screen keyboard) to submit your guess. After each guess, the tiles change color to show how close you were: green means the letter is correct and in the right spot, yellow means the letter is in the word but in the wrong spot, and gray means the letter isn't in the word at all. You have six guesses to find the word.

Wordle was created by Josh Wardle and became a viral sensation after it was released publicly in 2021, eventually being acquired by The New York Times. Unlike the original daily puzzle, this version lets you play a fresh random word as many times as you like.
