How to play

Choose a difficulty, then click any tile to reveal it, your first click is always safe. A revealed tile shows how many mines are hidden among its up-to-8 neighboring tiles; a blank tile means no neighboring mines, and the board will automatically clear the surrounding area for you. Right-click a tile (or toggle the Flag button on mobile, then tap the tile) to mark it as a suspected mine. Clear every tile that isn't a mine to win. Click a mine and the game is over!

About

A classic puzzle game of logic and deduction. Clear the board without detonating a single mine.

Minesweeper dates back to the 1960s and became a household name after being bundled with Windows in the 1990s. Numbers revealed on the board tell you how many mines are hiding in the surrounding squares, so use deduction (and a little bit of luck) to flag every mine and clear the rest of the board.
